Getting Better Publicity For Linux Lite
I can’t understand why Linux Lite would not be the first choice for new users coming from Windows 10. With Windows 10 EOL here, it is disappointing to me that Linux Lite is not getting the recognition it so deserves, as it is certainly the most stable and ex-Windows user friendly Linux. I’m also sad for the many ex-Windows users who will have their first experience with Linux with buggy and less stable Linux systems. Fact is fact. There is no Ubuntu derivative more stable and more thoughtfully designed for new users than Linux Lite. The image below is from a recent poll on DistroWatch.
As a longtime Debian stable user I think my opinion of Linux Lite is informed and on the mark. We are entering a new era in the Linux world and there are going to be some real surprises, some exciting, and some unpleasant, but Linux Lite has already prepared nicely for the future though a lot of people have seemed not to notice, at least according to Jesse Smith’s poll.
Sometimes I think that Linux Lite is so stable, and so easy to use, that people are embarrassed to admit that they use it on Linux forums and lists like DistroWatch, just to keep their pseudo-geek ego intact.
